The unveiling of the new Mazda CX-5 at the International Frankfurt Motor Show underlines more than the premier of one all-new CUV. It represents the unveiling of the first production model in an entirely new generation of vehicles.
Among the many things the new generation of Mazda vehicles, including the CX-5, offers that previous generations did not is Mazda's exclusive SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY. Comprised of three distinctive components that have been engineered to work as harmoniously and efficiently as possible - engine, transmission, and platform - SKYACTIVE promises to enhance Mazda owner's overall driving experience. The new generation of Mazda cars don't just embody fun, they share a deeper respect for the environment and the impact drivers have on it.
The forthcoming Mazda CX-5 is also the first production vehicle to showcase the automaker's next-generation KODO design language. For readers who haven't previously heard of KODO, it translates to "Soul of Motion". Pre-premier pictures convey a bold presence defined by swooping curves and dynamic sculpting that creates the illusion the CUV is speeding, even at a standstill...When you see it for yourself, we think you'll agree it really is quite attractive.
Joining the all-new Mazda CX-5 in Frankfurt in September will be the revamped MAZDA3. The CX-5 will begin arriving in showrooms (i.e., Tulley Mazda, located at 147 Daniel Webster Highway in Nashua, NH), starting early next year. To learn more about the hyper-efficient, fun-to-drive, and ultra-safe CX-5, be sure to stay tuned. Tulley Mazda promises more specs following the vehicle's official debut on September 13.
