Roadside Emergency Kits: A Few Items to Always Carry

It is a good idea to make an emergency kit for your car. You can put together a package at home or purchase a premade one.

A common roadside mishap is a flat tire. Having a can of a tire inflator, like fix-a-flat, can help get you off the side of the road and to a service department. Fix-a-flat aerosols attach to the tire's valve stem and spray in a solution that will temporarily repair the tire.

A dead battery might be able to be jumped. Carry a pair of jumper cables in your car, and learn how to use them before the emergency. After jump starting a vehicle, you will need to drive it for about 20 minutes. Driving will charge back up the dead battery.

A well-maintained vehicle is the first step in preventing a roadside emergency. Check in with our service department at Tulley Mazda in Nashua and let our knowledgeable service team inspect your vehicle.
